The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was approved 60 years ago. But unfortunately its promises have not been fulfilled. An event commemorating the Declaration and highlighting its violations as held on December 10th, 2008 by a wide coalition of Cleveland area social justice organizations. The Rally was held from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm at the Soldier’s & Sailor’s Monument, Public Square consisting of a Community ceremony on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with brief comments on current violations of and campaigns for human rights. A Procession follwed leading to Old Stone Church. A Musical Celebration, with Food, and More… was held from 6:30 pm — 8:00 pm at Old Stone Church, Public Square.
